And for a little laugh

The V and A obviously have a mental image of quilters. The sad thing is I was very tempted........

Why I've not been blogging and quilting much.

Crab apple out the front of Toad Hall.
I've just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. We're not 100% sure of the diagnosis and shall get a second opinion but the chances are it is right. The good news has been the definite ruling out of far worse conditions. Slowly over the last year or so I've found things more and more difficult day by day. The final straw for me was the day of the V and A preview when I wasn't sure I could make it up the stairs from the ladies loo. I did, but I doubted my ability. I crowned that with having to crawl to the door of the London cab to get out of it. Sometimes the pain makes me feel like crying, sometimes it's tolerable and just there in the background.
A Facebook friend sent me in the direction of this site as a way to explain this to others as well as myself, here.
I lie in bed most night with plans for the next day. Tomorrow I will this, tomorrow I will that and sadly often nothing gets done. I'm hoping I WILL get better and I WILL make more quilts. I'm hoping.

Not a cloud nor vapour trail in sight

Spring is sprung

I just love the first warm day when you can go out, get dirt under your nails, make your back hurt and feel the sun on your skin.
The specie tulips, not flash but lovely.

The self seeded primroses, forget me nots and muscari

I got five tubs planted for spring with lovely single coloured pansies.

And my favourite magnolia, stellata.

Testing my ability to post utube

My kittens taking over the bathroom sink. Just wanted to see if I could get video off my phone and onto this blog. If this works, all I need now is a camera man........

I forgot, I did do this vaguely Easter thing

One egg broke it's tip on the way home from the supermarket. It just had to be decorated.
And my Easter card to you

Cat stuck up a tree

He was missing for four hours. Eventually he responded to our calls and we found him over the stream and high up a tree.
I do know no one has ever found a dead cat up a tree, but we couldn't just leave him there. Colin went round in the car to get to the other bank. I sent a tall step ladder over, Colin climbed but the tips of his fingers were still a good four foot short of George. Eventually with a bit of encouragement from a lawn rake, Colin got him in his arms and home.
He has now passed out on the chair after a meal of turkey.
We hope he has learned not to chase squirrels up trees.

And my quilting? I haven't been too well of late so nothing has been done. However with tests and refferals in hand, I hope to feel back in the land of the living soon.
