Your tulip design is going to be beautiful. I haven't been doing much sewing lately, either. Mainly working on my knitting skills.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12885853913228818043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4236789502357650552.post-13596099415493677482016-02-21T13:44:44.017+00:002016-02-21T13:44:44.017+00:00"Make it your own"!!!! That's MY man..."Make it your own"!!!! That's MY mantra! Patterns (IMHO) are meant to be the underlying framework/guide that allows each one to personalize it to fit! I'm not a big heart person, although there have been a few I've allowed into my quilting. So I would have wanted the option to change out the heart on this block too. I'm reminded of years ago, working through Baltimore album blocks in an Elly Sienkiewicz book, coming to the heart block with the two facing doves in the bottom corners. I actually liked the heart (formed in reverse applique of teardrop shapes) but drew the line at the doves. Labrador retrievers had been big in my life and that is what I had a love for, so I found a suitable silhouette of one and used them instead of doves. Much more motivating!

I've been slow on visible progress myself, and with tax deadline about 6 weeks away, I'll be doing even less, I fear. Do kind of hate this time of year - so many distractions and diversions... The Idaho Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09979439849662755082noreply@blogger.com
