Firstly I drew a circle and two basic lines for the fireworks feathers,
Then stitched the basic feathers
Added the fireworks
Two different gold Isacord threads
Then some background.
I'll post the finished when it is done.

Ostrich quilts

Jane Western has finished her Ostrich quilt which we did as a challenge on BQL last year. It was a monthly challenge, a bit like a round robin in that you added something each month but like a roosting robin it, you only worked on your own quilt. The Ostrich bit was so you could put your head in the sand and not do a particular round one month if you chose or found the design challenge that month a little in conflict with either your quilt or your skill level. Take a look.

The very last challenge was to do some back art. And this is my back. The quilt is going to the Festival of Quilts next week, so I won't post photos of the front until the show opens on Thursday. (and that might depend on how I sort out internet access from my hotel room).
