Clearing up the aftermath

I think the photos say more than words.
It took most of yesterday to get just the kitchen clean. I don't know why but I haven't taken a photo of all the rubbish in the garden.
Guess what I'll be doing over the next few weeks.............

  1. oh Sally..I really feel for you! I hope you managed to get it back to your liking soon.
Hope you are feeling better soon too. We've just had stomach flu make the rounds around here, thanks to the Petri dish school! :oP

  2. Oh Sally -- that's horrible! When we moved into a previous house, we were really dismayed by the mess left behind -- bottles everywhere, fresh kool-aid stains on the white carpet, and more. It's amazing how different some people's standards are.

The cottage looks adorable, and hopefully it won't take too much to get it back to perfection.

  3. Sally - I do so feel for you - what is the matter with people - we were very lucky when we rented our house out while we were in France, our tenants were brilliant. American friends of ours who lived in the UK for three years were much less fortunate - their beautiful old Victorian house was totally trashed with so much damage that it almost endangered the building, most of it just mindless vandalism, not even just lack of cleaning - it took them ages to get it sorted - what monsters eh? It's bad enough cleaning up your own mess never mind someone elses - hope you kept their deposit!

  4. I'm so sorry about your lovely cottage, Sally. What a shame that so many people have such little respect for others.

I enjoyed the rest of your blog, though! I'll definitely add it to my blogroll and visit often! :-)
