Sometimes you should give up
I haven't quite, but I'm fairly close. You wouldn't believe the pain and suffering I've gone through with the whole cloth and still not a stitch in sight nor even close to one.
The hot weather didn't help either, however I'm determined to do at least some stitching so this little quilt relieved the tension and got me back in the mood. the variegated thread is Aurifil again. Lovely stuff to work with.

Looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteDon't ever give it up!! Your kind of work lives only in my dreams.
ReplyDeletePlease don't give up! I can't even get close to the work you are doing! Stay with it! You will win!
ReplyDeleteSally, if you ever give up the world will be a darker place. Love this little quilt in my favourite colours. Good luck when you next pick up the problem stitching.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I'm not giving up quilting, just maybe giving up on this particular quilt,
ReplyDeleteSally
Sally, that's just gorgeous! I also love Aurifil thread. One question: did you plan where to put the "mini-feathers" for the background of this piece, or did you just decide as you went along? I love it!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could put that particular quilt away for a while, then pull it out and look at it with new eyes.
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful. You are so good.
I have never seen such intricate quilting and think it would be such a shame if you didn't complete it.
