Sadly my camera has died. It takes great photos from about 12" but doesn't focus properly at any other distance. So I have included these two pictures of the quilt pinned to a board to block it. The first is the best focus to see the quilting and the 2nd to see the colours.
To prove it can focus when it wants to, a few photos from the garden.
Amazing!! Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteFabewwwlous Sally. Very beautiful....and they remind me that whilst looking through some design books the other day I came across a couple of Art Nouveau feather design which I must send you. You might have them already, but if not might like to see them.

Kathie
Finished and looking really great irrespective of camera/focus issues!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I just discoverd your blog and it's taken my breath away. The quilt you entered in the Chicago show is amazing, as are all the quilts I've seen. I am envious of your talent. I can win locally, but will never make anything of that quality. I also laughed at your comment about seeing your mother in the mirror. I know the feeling!!!!
ReplyDeleteAny chance you've turned the Macro feature on by mistake and left it on? That would produce the photographic effect of only focussing at 12" when everything else seems to be working ....
ReplyDeleteGood thinking Beth. It does think it's on Macro focus even when it isn't if you see what I mean..
ReplyDeleteI'm picking up my new camera tomorrow. Only a cheapie but it will be good enough I hope.
Oh, Sally! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. You are a true artist.
