Protest Nude Quilt

Annabel Rainbow has created a series of works which are amazing. She was approached twice by magazines who wanted to write about her and her quilts but not show her work.
I decided to point out how utterly silly this position on the part of the publishers were by creating my own nude quilt. Unfortunately I am not an artist like Annabel so with apologies to Da Vinci and Vetruvius, here is my quilt made in solidarity.

  1. Well, Sally, I think that's pretty amazing. The quilt looks fabulous and thank you so much for your wonderful support. I'm really touched.

  3. Her work is incredible - I cannot believe that anyone finds anything offensive. Sad state of affairs when you can access a thousand times worse on the internet but can't look at a fabric rendition of a tasteful nude. I despair!
Your work is pretty stunning too - I'm labouring over sewing some feathers onto a bird, how on earth you managed to achieve that in thread and material beats me!

  4. It's about 36-38" square so too small to enter the FOQ. It is going round the Grosvenor shows with the rest of my work.

  7. Sally this is great, I think you've done a fabulous job and I'm suprised to hear this about Annabel's nudes, I always think they're so clever and tasteful, I really can't see how there could be a problem with them??
