I cannot find this quilt! (but I have at least found the photos)

We have moved house and this quilt is still lost. I haven't seen it since just after I bought it in 2010. I just assumed it was under the bed with the other quilts. I feel more than a little ill every time I think about it. It has the makers name appliqued across the top but these photos do not show her name and I cannot remember it.....
Enjoy the photos and send good wishes for it to turn up.

  1. Oh, Sally! What a treasure! So many interesting things on there, and tools - one would almost think it was made by a male quilter.
I can totally understand that you feel ill when you think about it. Perhaps you put it away in a really, really safe place.....?
    I hope you find it!!!!

  3. Oh Sally I do know that sinking feeling of guilt when you keep thinking about it and wondering where on earth did I put it and trying to think back to the last time you handled it. I'm sure it will turn up again, I lost my pearls once for 12 years????? I found them when we moved plus a couple of other pieces of jewellery I had stashed when we went away once on holiday LOL. It is such an interesting quilt with so much in it of every day life. Hugs Glenda

  4. I've never made a move when something did not go missing (and I've moved a lot). Usually it is a small thing, like a favorite (but not heirloom) Tiger Eye necklace or the staple puller. But occasionally it will be something larger. Where could they be as the old residence is always checked thoroughly and all boxes always arrive at the new residence. Don't think I've lost a quilt though. Hope it turns up - it's so unusual.

  5. What an amazing (and slightly mad!) quilt. I do so hope that you are lucky and find it soon - its a horrid feeling when you can't find something, isn't it? I'm sure that it will turn up again when it is ready and when you least expect it.

  7. I wonder what personal meaning all those objects had for the maker? Fascinating - I hope it turns up, which it probably will when you least expect it and probably somewhere that you searched already!
